Meet The Team

The SCIGRIP Solar Boat Team is a dedicated group of engineers with a vast knowledge of the marine industry and composites technology.

Bartosz Puchowski

Captain and main constructor of the boat who project manages the team and production schedule. Bartosz is a naval architect, highly experienced yacht designer and the owner of Cree Yacht Design Studio located in Gdynia, Poland. He is very familiar with the application of composite technologies.

Marta Puchowska

Constructor and Helmsman during the race. Marta’s main responsibilities throughout the design period are finite element analysis (FEA) calculations. We attribute the SCIGRIP boat’s super light structure to her extensive advanced materials knowledge!

Michał Wawrzyniak

Helmsman and Technologist Constructor at Galeon Shipyard in Straszyn, Poland. Michal is responsible for all composite applications on the SCIGRIP Solar boat as well as repairs during the race.

Jagoda Małkowska-Wawrzyniak

Main Tactician whose key responsibilities include analysis of weather forecasts and energy calculations during the race. Jagoda also specialises in environmental protection issues.
